Category Report

The report generated will display details of loan amounts that were given to clients under various client or loan classifications.

To get to this screen, go to Loans/Portfolio Reports/Analysis Reports/Category Reports. You will get a screen that looks as follows;

• Print report by:  From the drop down box, select the option for order/ grouping for which you would like the category report to appear; It could be User defined Loan Category whereby the Category Report will show details of the classification or type of loans e.g. Agricultural Loans, Industrial Loans. These are set at menu Support Files/Loan Categories Or User defined Client Category whereby the Category report will show details of the loans taken by a certain classification or type of clients e.g. rural, urban etc. set at menu Support Files /Clients Categories.

• First Loan Category:  Check this option to get a category report about the first classification of loans.  This depends on the settings made at menu Support Files/ Loan Category 1. The same applies for second and third loan category.
• Loan Category:  Select a particular sub loan category/classification that you would like to generate a report about.  You may have two or more sub classifications under the first loan category (Loan category 1). E.g. Urban dweller, rural dweller etc. Select a specific loan category from the drop down box e.g. urban dwellers. The category report therefore will show details of loans in category 1 but of a specified sub classification.  In the example shown in the screen above, "Check if for all categories" option is selected in order to have details of all loan categories (all sub classifications) found under Loan Category 1.
• Loan Fund:  From the drop down box, choose a Loan Fund that you want to get a Category Report about. In the screen above, the for all option is checked.
• Period From:  Enter the date on which you want the details to be displayed in the Category report to begin e.g. 01/01/2020 and in the "to" information box, enter the date on which the Category Reports will end e.g. 06/07/2020 as shown in the screen above.
• Loan Disbursements:  When this option is checked, the category report will give details of only those loans that were disbursed.
• Outstanding Amounts:  When this option is checked, the Category Report will show details of outstanding amounts for the period selected.
• Repayments:  When this option is checked, the Category Report will show details of all loan repayments made in the selected period.
• Repayment Rates:  When this option is checked, the Category report will show details in percentage of loans repaid in a selected period of time.
• Individual Loans Only: Select this option if you want to generate a Category Report for individual loans.
• Group Loans Only: Select this option if the Category Report to be generated is for loans given to the group as a whole (i.e. not as individual clients who do not have membership to any registered group with the institution)
• All Loans: When this option is selected, the report generated will display the Category Report for all Individual and Group Loans.

Click the Ok button to generate the report that will look like one below:

To cancel report generation and to leave the screen, press the button "Close".
